2019

(The publicly shareable version, anywho)

Don't just wish for a great 2019. Make it so.
On new year's eve I got to watch two of my favoritest people get engaged. If that doesn't make you want to refocus on what's important in life, idunno what will. "This intentional family that we've built and we've created is just so phenomenal. We just really appreciate each and every one of you."

I love these two.

Tangible Stuffs:

  • show up to parties on time. (where "on time" = within 30 min of start time for large parties and 7 min of start time for small parties)
  • laser eye surgery
  • dental work on front teeth

Nebulous Stuffs:

Meat

  • recommit to eating less meat. one chosen meal per week worked really well for me for most of the year. I want to keep doing that. 
  • related to above...continue pursuing more sustainable local food sources

Biking/Alternative Transportation

  • recommit to biking to work most days of the week. walk, bike, bus/metro as often as possible. set up carpools when attending something that's a drive-able distance.
  • bike accidents happen, bad weather happens, shitty cagers happen. keep the habit going anyways. You love it too much not to.

Phone Attachment

  • prolly the hardest on the list. figure out ways to reduce time on phone. recognize that stupid gaming apps are designed to keep me sucked in. digital detox? keep out of the bedroom? I haven't fully figured this one out yet...
Log out, power down, and get that screen out of your face.
